Runnin Free Ranch provides a non-judgmental, non-pressured environment where veterans, at-risk youth, those with special needs and their families can experience HOPE, positive LIFE-changing relationships and FREEDOM through the facilitation of equine assisted counseling, at NO COST to the client. Off the Hoof by Eli (the pony) The month of May has not allowed me to be a part of many sessions because of the mud and rain but Amy (the human who is what they call a counselor) has continued to work with the humans inside. But one of the few times I have been able to help this month was with a young person who is continuing to experience what Amy calls regulation through rhythm. In a square hay bale (nutshell to a squirrel) trauma causes dysregulation in the brain and mindful rhythm, like brushing and/or petting me (Eli) can help the brain regulate. That's all I know. Ask Amy if you have more questions. But I can tell you I love being at Runnin Free Ranch and a part of the work God is doing here. I was once abandoned but now I have a purpose and permanent earthly home at Runnin Free Ranch. Please know that ALL sessions are at no cost to the client and Runnin Free Ranch cares for us, (me, Zeke and Sevin) solely through YOUR generous donations.UPCOMING EVENTS AT RUNNIN FREE RANCHSATURDAY, JUNE 12th, 1pm - 3pm HORSE GROOMING, HORSE HANDLING RANCH MAITENANCE INFORMATION ABOUT VOLUNTEERING for our Freedom Trail summer youth program from June 14th - June 18th please come out to learn more.
