Gratitude: Abundantly More Than We Could Imagine
We usually send out our newsletter at the beginning of each month—but this September, so much has been happening at the Ranch that we’re sending it a little later… and now we can say, God’s timing is perfect.
We are overflowing with gratitude to share some exciting news: Runnin’ Free Ranch met our North Texas Giving Day goal of $6,000, which unlocked an additional $6,000 in matching funds! But God wasn’t finished.
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think…” – Ephesians 3:20
Because of your generosity, we raised over $17,000 in total!
Wow and wow.
This incredible outpouring of support means that God's work at Runnin’ Free Ranch continues—offering trauma-focused equine-assisted counseling to veterans, at-risk youth, individuals with special needs, and their families at low to no cost.

First Responder Outreach
We’re thrilled to announce a new partnership with R3 and American Warrior Association to welcome a group of first responders to the Ranch for our Freedom Trail program. This initiative focuses on trauma healing techniques and offers a safe space for those who serve and protect us every day. To all our dedicated first responders: thank you. Off the Hoof: A Whisper of Peace From the heart of Zeke, Runnin’ Free Ranch
There was something different about the young man who visited us last week. Sevin and I felt it before he even stepped into the pasture. You see, that’s the thing about us horses—we don’t just see with our eyes. We feel with our hearts. And this young man carried a weight no child should ever bear. The kind of loss that leaves silence in its wake. The kind of pain that echoes. When he walked toward us, we didn’t need words. We just knew.
God had called us to be still. To be present. To be calm and loving. Not to fix anything, not to speak, but simply to offer peace. A peace he hadn’t felt since the accident. The moment was sacred—so sacred that even words would have felt too loud.
So we stood. Quiet. Gentle. Near.
Sometimes our job isn’t to move or to speak. It’s to be. To be a sense of safety. To be a sign from God. To be a whisper that says, “It’s okay. You’re okay.”
In that moment, two worlds collided—his pain and our peace—and something holy happened. The air shifted. Heaven leaned in. And though no one said a word, the message was clear.
You are not alone.
